LEV Project Engineer

Job type: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: £30,000 – £50,000 a year, negotiable depending on experience

Schedule: Monday to Thursday 08:00-17:00, Friday 08:00-15:00

Location: Offices in Weedon NN7, and Northampton NN4.

Your role

An exciting role has become available for an experienced LEV Project Engineer to join our expanding team.

  • A balance between office-based and client meetings onsite.
  • Working closely with the project and installation teams.
  • Project management of LEV solutions from concept to completion.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on-time, to budget, and meet HSE guidelines.
  • Develop detailed conceptual designs.
  • Analyse project costings.
  • Create and present proposals to clients.
  • Obtain contracts for proposed designs and other bid-related activities.
  • Present progress reports to the management team.

Trainee Service & LEV Engineer

Job type: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: £24,000 – £26,000 a year, competitive based on experience

Schedule: Monday to Thursday 08:00-17:00, Friday 08:00-15:00

Location: Northampton NN4 with travel to customer sites

Your role

An exciting role has become available for a self-motivated person with a mechanical mindset to join our expanding Service & LEV team. Reporting to the Field Service Manager and Operations Director, this role is to support the Field Service Manager with servicing, maintenance, and testing of LEV extraction systems.

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, and LEV assessments on customer premises.
  • Complete job-related documentation in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining stock of standard parts within the company vehicle.
  • Ensure the service vehicle is maintained and kept in a clean and presentable condition.
  • Regular checks to ensure all tools and equipment are maintained and in good working order.
  • Handle territory management with the Service Co-ordinator.
  • Observe and practice all Health & Safety Regulations issued by McCarthy environmental, and those issued on customer premises.
  • Observe and report any environmental issues relating to bagging and labelling of waste materials.
  • To provide feedback on repairs, improvements, technical changes, sales opportunities, and customer comments.
  • Participate in meetings as arranged by the company.
  • Participate in any training courses, internally or externally, that are relevant to your role.

The role would be mainly covering Midlands and Home Counties; however, we are a national company and there will be the need for occasional UK-wide travel. If the location of the customer premises is of a sufficient distance, it may be necessary to stay overnight in that vicinity to afford optimum use to be made of the time available to finish the job, or to travel to the next place of work.
