Operating Principle

In the GI-ATEX bag filter, the contaminated air enters the calming chamber where, due to the dual effects of reduced air velocity and flow distribution, some of the dust settles directly into the hopper while the remainder accumulates on the outer surface of the filter elements. The filter is safeguarded with a venting system, tailored and installed according to the dust characteristics and the installation environment. This filter type, when paired with specialized partitioning systems, prevents the possibility of explosions in the filter and ducts.

The highly permeable fabric of the filter bags permits gas passage while retaining dust, forming the primary filtration layer (cake). It is crucial to effectively remove the “cake” to ensure optimal filtration performance and minimal pressure drops; this equilibrium is achieved through the DENA PULS-JET system. A burst of compressed air, stored in a dedicated tank, is cyclically injected into the sleeves, producing a powerful counter-current shaking wave that dislodges and settles the particles that have accumulated on the outer surface of the sleeves.
