The DEDUST C ATEX bag filter is a self-sufficient dust filtration system that features automatic cleaning via compressed air, designed specifically for filtering and separating medium, fine, and very fine dust particles. Its automated cleaning mechanism employs jets of compressed air to maintain nearly constant pressure drops. The filter is safeguarded with a venting system that is tailored and installed based on the dust characteristics and the environment where the equipment is situated. This type of filter, when used alongside specialized compartmentation systems, helps prevent the risk of explosion in the filter and associated pipes.

Operating Principle

In the DEDUST C ATEX bag filter, the contaminated air is directed straight into the dust collection hopper. Due to the combined effects of reduced airflow velocity and improved flow distribution, some of the dust settles directly into the hopper, while the rest accumulates on the external surface of the filter elements. The highly permeable fabric of the filter bags allows air to flow through while trapping dust, which forms the primary filtering layer (the “cake”). Proper removal of this “cake” is crucial to ensure optimal filtration efficiency and maintain low pressure drops; this equilibrium is achieved through the DENA PULS-JET system. A burst of compressed air, stored in a dedicated tank, is cyclically injected into the sleeves, generating a powerful countercurrent shaking wave that dislodges and drops the particles resting on the outer surface of the sleeves.
