DENA GIC-M / FICO

The GIC-M/FICO sleeve filter was specifically designed for thermal power plants and locations facing height restrictions. It features a compact design, a convenient hatch for maintenance and sleeve removal, and a walkable grating on the interior of the filter.

Operating Principle

Dusty air enters the upper section of the stilling chamber through a designated inlet on the panel. The larger particles of dust in the incoming air are initially filtered out and fall into the collection hopper due to a significant decrease in speed. After moving through the calming chamber, the air flows through the filter bags, transitioning from the exterior to the interior, which allows impurities to settle in the collection hopper. The dust collector maintains optimal efficiency during operation with a cyclical reverse cleaning system. A burst of compressed air, stored in a dedicated tank, is rapidly released into the sleeves, generating a strong counter-current shaking wave that dislodges and drops the particles accumulated on the sleeve surfaces. The dust is then collected in a quick-release container.

Construction Features

This unit comes with an integrated by-pass for rapid on-site assembly, constructed from very thick sheet metal that has been meticulously processed and treated to enhance its longevity. It includes a pneumatic sleeve cleaning mechanism, which is managed by an economizer with a differential pressure switch. Additionally, it is equipped with support legs, inspection doors, safety railings and a ladder, an explosion-proof door, and a dust collection hopper.
