DENA 26 CY Cyclone Dust Extractor

Cyclone dust extractors can achieve abatement efficiencies ranging from 85% to 95% and are suitable for handling dust with a specific weight exceeding 300 kg/m3, particularly for coarser particles – greater than 10 microns for dust with specific weights of 1000-1500 kg/m3, and over 50 microns for dust with specific weights of 500 kg/m3.

Operational Mechanism of the CY Model Separator

In the CY model cyclone dust extractor – suction systems – the centrifugal force facilitates the separation of dust particles from the airflow, which is set into rotation through a tangential entry into the cyclone's body. The centrifugal force influences particles similarly to their weight but acts in a radial manner. The efficiency of abatement is contingent on the flow's peripheral speed and the inverse of the radius of curvature. Consequently, efforts are made to enhance the flow velocity and generate rotational movements with minimal curvature. While increasing the cyclone's diameter at a constant peripheral speed reduces the centrifugal impact and thus the efficiency, excessively high speeds can lead to increased pressure losses. Therefore, appropriate sizing is the responsibility of a knowledgeable designer.

Construction Features of the CY Model Separator Cyclones

The CY cyclone dust collector serves as a dust control system, featuring a cylindrical shape at the top and a tapered cone at the bottom. It is constructed entirely from 20/10 carbon steel or stainless steel sheets.

Dust control systems are utilized in various sectors, such as pneumatic conveying lines in woodworking and panel manufacturing, mechanical industries, recycling facilities, glass production, aggregates, foundries, and more.

Accessory Options Available:

Star valve. ATEX explosion vent panel variant. Integrated fan. Insulation. Coating resistant to harsh conditions. Constructed from specialized steels.
